Christiane Middendorf (Essen 1961) received her training at various Academies. Later she also received private lessons from various artists, which ultimately helped her to become what she is today. About her way of painting she herself says: 'Art is never the same for me. For me it is an expression of emotions, experiences, encounters with other people, dreams, thoughts, without losing sight of reality. My paintings are a reflection of my emotions at the moment of painting. This does not mean that someone else will recognize these emotions in the painting and that is not necessary. Everyone gives their own interpretation to my abstract work. The layering of colors and the firm structure in the paint give my paintings a different look with every changing light. It never gets boring'. Since 2000 Christiane Middendorf has been exhibiting regularly at renowned galleries mainly in Germany. In 2006 she had exhibitions in the United States and Austria. She also participated in the Kunstmesse in Strassbourg - France.
